We've spent a while now trying to work out the radius of the points we need where the new spur of track over the pond rejoins the main line. This occurs on a curve I have found very difficult to measure the radius of. It has trees and shrubs on one side and a brick wall on the other. This renders the usual method of measuring the radius with a line and spike in the ground useless. Luckily I found some long 4m lengths of roofing battern in the workshop so I screwed them together and drilled holes to hold a pen at 30, 25 and 20 foot radii. With help from my assistant Olly, we marked out corresponding arcs on a large roll of paper.

We're off to the railway tomorrow so hopefully we'll get an idea of the radius we need to put an order into Maxitrack. I'll post the results....
