A large donation of 1970s brand new locos, coaches and scenery.

Updated: Jul 10, 2020

The Bushey Miniature Railway have just received a substantial donation of box fresh OO gauge items, much of it unopened. This consists of 12 locomotives, 21 carriages , 18 wagons, scenery, control equipment and track. This amazing collection consists of unused items dating back to the 1970s. Just look at that Zero controller (one of 3 inc a main control board) - OO gauge meets Blakes 7! Pictures are just a small selection...Is it time to open one of our sheds and start a OO layout? - Would be a shame to break the seal on some of this though...The locomotives pictured here havent been opened for 45 years and still have all their paperwork, with serial numbers, manufacturing dates etc...

Some of the kit comes from Beatties.

Beatties of London started in the 1960s in Winchmore Hill Road in London. It sadly folded in 2001.

The locos and stock here are but a small selection. We will properly photograph and list all the items with dates and serial numbers on this site asap...

If you have any railway items to donate to a good cause please contact us. We will try our best to repair items if needed and you can rest assured any donations will be looked after by enthusiasts who love all railway related items of all sizes whatever they may be!

The paperwork inside this Britannia class loco says it was manufactured in 1976. It has never been out of its box until now-thats 44 years!
