We have received a very generous donation of 2 live steam locos an associated items from a family in Hertfordshire. A 3.5 inch gauge 'Tich' and a 5 inch gauge Dean Convertible. Both of these locos are unfinished projects and we are currently assessing the possibility of finishing at least one of them .
The 3.5" Tich loco (above) is the most complete but still needs quite a lot of work on the pipe work and boiler. We are in talks with an engineering firm in Wales to evaluate the cost of completion. It came with some of the pipe work and other parts so lets hope we can bring it all together to make a great little loco.
The 5" gauge Dean Convertible (above) however is a long way off completion as you can see and still needs a substantial amount doing to it to get it up and running. We are still looking into this.
The donation also included this Tich 5" chassis (pictured above) and another chassis of unknown origin (pictured below) - let us know if you know what this one is.
